Block Extension | Ocean View Orchard

A G3 Grower based in Te Puke, engaged KOS Fencing to increase canopy area for his Kiwifruit orchard along the northern boundary. Recently removing a natural shelter belt and replacing with a free standing artificial shelter meant he no longer needed to allow access for large machinery in the form of a shelter trimmer so he could increase the footprint of the block right to the boundary. End assemblies were replaced for better access in and out of the rows and lessening the chance of damaging fruit with orchard tractors and sprayer units. Overall canopy size gained Peter another 0.15 canopy hectares.
